The Warehouse is proud to bring you the Haka brand. Maori tonal prints, original pieces of artwork and the use of traditional patterns all combine to create styles that make the Haka gear unique and special. Through the association with the local iwi, Ngati Whatua, who have blessed and continue to support their endeavours Haka aim to tell a strong cultural story through the use of graphic embellishments, proudly reflecting Maori culture and values.
Haka is a part of the New Zealand identity. They want to share the stories of a proud race of people and to now include you in our rich and spiritual culture. Feel the Haka spirit!
Haka New Zealand Ltd take great pride in using the Māori word Haka as our brand. The local tribe the Ngāti Whātua have endorsed and blessed our brand. In turn we have designed and developed a distinct style of garments and related products that incorporate strong signature graphics.
Our relationship with Māori and the embodiment of the meaning of Haka is especially important to us. We have ensured that all protocols have been observed and that our interpretation is culturally correct.
With their support and guidance we aim to bring the essence of Haka to the world spreading Te Reo. The visual identity incorporates the values that the word itself carries and rather than appropriate any particular tribal Haka it builds on the Māori mythology of how the Haka originated.
