Developing Our Leaders
At The Warehouse, we are highly committed to developing the capability of our people – we have a strong history of growing our own managers and are continuously looking to upskill those who are keen on learning.
Each year, we assess the skills, knowledge and behaviours of our team leaders and managers using an online development tool. We also assess their desire and potential to progress further within The Warehouse – helping us identify those who are our leaders of the future.
We invite many of our future leaders to join tailored leadership development programmes to help them develop their full potential. For our senior leaders of the future we have a Business Leaders’ Programme and an Advanced Management Programme. These programmes are focused on building self awareness, leadership skills and commercial acumen.
Those with the aspiration for leading the Operations side of our business are well catered for. We have a series of development programmes targeted at current and future Regional Managers and Store Managers. Our Fast Track Manager Programme is perfect for external people with extensive retail experience who want to progress quickly into store management roles. Our Store Manager Development Programme is targeted at those with minimal experience but a lot of potential to be store managers in the future.
We are totally committed to accelerating the development of those identified as high potential - and why not when we have fantastic support available to get these people to the top quicker!
Every staff member at The Warehouse also gets access to our Learning and Development Programmes, all designed to help them gain the skills, knowledge and behaviours to perform to the best of their ability.
