What is a Fast Track Manager?

City of SailsA Fast Track Manager is an external person who has previously been operating at an Assistant, Store Manager or Regional Manager level in another fast paced, big-box retail business that joins us in an Assistant or Store Manager role.

What do we look for in a Fast Track Manager?

We look for candidates who have previous proven experience and success in a Senior Manager role with a fast-paced, big-box retailer. We also look for candidates who are ideally mobile around New Zealand. This ensures that we can set Fast Track Managers up with the best ‘Store of Learning’ Managers to support their training and development and that in the future they can take up opportunities to progress their career, ‘start here. go anywhere’.

Framework for the Fast Track Management Programme

As a Fast Track Manager you’ll be fully supported and trained in one of our Store of Learning environments for approximately 12 weeks to ensure you understand The Warehouse way of doing things – our processes, procedures and systems. Not only that but you will get to meet a lot of our senior management and understand how our Distribution Centre (DC) and our Store Support Office support the store environment. Our Store of Learning Managers are seen as the best Managers to coach and train newcomers and this programme is unique to The Warehouse.
