What is The Warehouse Christmas Club?
A club to help you save for a great family Christmas at The Warehouse.
Once you’ve joined, we’ll encourage your savings by not allowing you to spend the money on your card until Christmas. In December you can spend the money you have added to your card at any Warehouse store and receive 5% off the purchases you make on the card.
How to get started
Pick up a Christmas Club card from any checkout. Activate the card at checkout by making a minimum deposit of $5 and then add your money to your card during the year.
Topping Up
You can top up your card as often as you like at the checkout at any Warehouse store – from as little as $2 a time. The maximum balance that you can have on your Christmas Club card is $5,000.
Alternatively, you can top up your Warehouse Christmas Club card direct from your bank account using:
a) Direct Debit or
b) Automatic Payment or Bill Payment via Internet Banking.

Using the card
You can use your Christmas Club card to buy any product at The Warehouse during December. The only exclusions are using the card to make online purchases, lay-by payments, lay-by deposits, and finance payments. The discount applies to all the products being purchased and is calculated after all other discounts have been worked out. Balances cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash.
Any money left on the card rolls over to be available the following year. The balance on the card expires after 24 months of no activity (top ups or redemptions).
The 5% Discount
The 5% discount will apply to any purchases made using the proceeds from your Christmas Club card (excluding lay-bys). For example, if you purchase $100 worth of goods using your Christmas Club card, you will receive a $5 discount on your purchase (i.e. it will only cost $95). Note – if you pay for your purchases with a mix of Christmas Club money and cash (or other tender) you will receive a discount based on 5% of the purchases paid for using Christmas Club money.

Frequently asked questions
Can I get my money out?
A: No – once you put money onto your Christmas Club card you will only be able to use that money in December. We have offered a 7 day grace period after you join the Christmas Club to get your money out in case you change your mind but after this 7 day period is up you cannot get your money out.
Do you need to get a new card every year?
A: No you can re-use the same card each year if you like.
Do you need to have your card to top up in store?
A: Yes because this is the only way our system will recognise you.
Do you get the 5% discount over and above any discount that may apply at the time?
A: Yes
Where can you check your balance?
A: You will be able to check your card balance at any checkout during the year or use the scanning posts in stores.
Do the cards displayed in stores have any value?
A: No, cards do not have any value until they are ‘activated’ at the POS.
Is any change given for a purchase made with a Christmas Club card?
A: No. Card balances reduce by the amount spent on the card. The customer can spend the remainder of the balance on another purchase in December.
When do the cards expire?
A: 24 months after the last transaction (initial purchase, top up, or redemption)
What is the minimum and maximum you can put on the card?
A: The minimum is $2 and the maximum is $5000.
Can Christmas Club cards be put on Layby?
A: No
Can the Christmas Club Cards be used outside of The Warehouse? i.e. Warehouse Stationery?
A: No, the cards are only valid for The Warehouse.
Topping up
You can top up your Warehouse Christmas Club card as often as you like at the checkout at any Warehouse store – from as little as $2 per time. The maximum balance that you can have on your Christmas Club card is $5,000.
You can now top up your Warehouse Christmas Club card direct from your bank account, using direct debit, automatic payment or bill payment via internet banking.

Automatic Payment or Bill Payment
With these options you will need to set it up with your bank either online or at your bank.
If you choose to top up your account using automatic payment or bill payment you need to provide us with the following information. There are three fields to complete:
1. Particulars: Enter your surname and first initial.
2. Code: Enter your phone number including area code.
3. Reference: Enter the last 8 digits of your Christmas Club card barcode as it appears on the back of your Christmas Club card. Include numbers and letters and use block letters.

Important points about topping up direct from your bank account
• The minimum top up amount is $2.
• The last date that we will receive electronic top ups into your Christmas club card each year is 7 working days before the end of November. Top ups will resume again every January for the following Christmas.
• If you have set up an automatic payment or bill payment for the month of December or for the 7 working days before the end of November the funds cannot be spent in that December, but will be held over until the following December.
