Things you can do at home
- • Use council kerb-side recycling
• Compost your kitchen waste
• Grow your own vege garden – our garden department can help you with that
• Cut down on power use and costs – energy saver bulbs, cold laundry washes, more efficient appliances, heating and insulation
• Conserve water with economical laundry cycles, shorter showers and restricted hose use
• Choose a more fuel efficient vehicle next time you upgrade
• Volunteer for a local environment or community service group
• Return unwanted plastic bags to The Warehouse for recycling
• Use council hazardous waste service for solvents, batteries and unwanted household chemicals
• Recycle unwanted household goods or clothing by donating them to your local mission or charity store
