Sheeting Buying Guide

When buying new sheets, consider the following:

Fabric -
•    Polyester Cotton Blend sheets offer an easy care, value option.
•    100% Cotton sheets are popular because they are natural, softer and breathes.
•    Percale  (a term used to describe a fabric 180 thread count or higher). Percale is a smooth fabric of especially high quality and is generally less likely to pill than other types of woven fabric.
•    Flannelette sheets are cotton or polyester that has been vigorously brushed to create a ‘furry’ surface for extra warmth. A winter product only.

Thread Count - refers to the number of threads woven within a certain area of fabric. The higher the thread count, the tighter weave resulting in a better end product that is softer and more durable.

Quality Control - we test all our sheeting ranges for shrinkage, colour fastness and performance to ensure they wash and wear well.  Maison d'Or Manchester comes with a 2 year guarantee.

General care:

•    Avoid overloading the washing machine to prevent creasing and wear to the fabric.
•    When each cycle has finished remove the bed linen promptly from the machine and shake out whilst damp to minimise the creasing and drying time. Do not dry your bed linen for longer than necessary.
