How To:
Make an ANZAC Poppy At Home!

Here's a step-by-step on how to make an ANZAC poppy at home

What you’ll need

•   Red card or paper
•   Black tissue
•   Glue stick
•   Scissors
•   Green pipe cleaners
•   Hot glue gun

1.  Fold red card in half
2.  Draw half a petal shape and cut it out
3.  Repeat step 2 again, tracing the one you have already cut out. Make sure to line up the fold of the original with the fold on the paper
4.  Cut a small strip of black tissue paper and scrunch it into a ball
5.  Fold out the two red petals and attach them together using a dot of hot glue
6.  Using a glue stick, put some glue on the front side of your poppy, then attach the scrunched black tissue paper. You may wish to unscrunch the tissue paper, apply more glue and then scrunch it together again to ensure it holds.
7.  Fold your pipe cleaner in half and twist the two sides together
8.  Hot glue gun the end of your pipe cleaner and place it on the poppy
9.  Take your pencil and use it to curl the ends of the petals
