At Karanga Ink, we honour the rich tapestry of whakapapa, where the past, present, and future are interconnected, existing in a continuous flow. This whakataukī speaks to the legacy of our ancestors, whose wisdom and stories continue to shape the world we live in today and guide the generations to come. Through the art of tā moko, I weave these stories into the skin, and as we expand beyond moko, through this collaboration each design carries connection - reflecting the Taiao and the unity of all things. The symbols and patterns on these products are not just decorations; they are reflections of the relationships, histories, and knowledge that transcend time and space, each piece a reminder that we are all part of an ongoing, ever-evolving story.
