What is Marketplace on The Warehouse?
Discover more products, brands, and choices at The Warehouse. By teaming up with trusted stores in Aotearoa New Zealand and beyond, we have expanded the range of products available for you to shop from, all conveniently in one place.
How does the Marketplace work?
When you purchase from a marketplace store, you are ordering from the relevant store offering that product for sale. This means the products will be supplied and shipped directly from that marketplace store to you. Relevant delivery details, including where it is shipping from is noted on every listing.
Marketplace stores are the 'supplier' of the products under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and are responsible for all statutory guarantees and warranties (if any).
What are Marketplace Stores?
The Warehouse now has thousands more products listed for you to shop on The Warehouse website and App, these products are sold and shipped by trusted marketplace stores.
You can now choose from more brands and more products all within the same shop, to find the perfect item for your needs.
Look for the marketplace badge to help identify these products, along with details such as who the seller is, where the product is shipped from and the estimated delivery time to your location.
What is the difference between these items and items sold by The Warehouse?
Items sold by marketplace stores through our website and App and are sent directly by that store to you. They can only be bought online and are not available to purchase in The Warehouse stores, or via Click & Collect.
These items are shipped separately from The Warehouse items, so you may receive multiple parcels if your order contains items from more than one marketplace store.
Items sold & shipped by The Warehouse will continue to be sent to you from our stores or distribution centres. These items will state ‘Sold & shipped by The Warehouse’ on the product page, and if available, you will also be able to Click & Collect or find them in your local store.
How can I filter by products that are sold by The Warehouse or by a Marketplace store?
We make it easy to modify your search results based on where you would like to shop. Filter by “Sold By” on the left hand side on our website, and from the filter drop-down on app (top right hand corner).
How much does delivery cost?
Orders placed with Marketplace stores are shipped by the relevant store, each store has it’s own delivery costs which vary depending on the item size, weight, where the store is shipping the item from, and your delivery address.
Different stores may ship from other regions or countries. A delivery fee will apply for each store.
Delivery costs are displayed in your cart, so after adding your items, review the total at the bottom to see an approximate delivery cost.
The rate first shown will be the lowest possible rate until you are logged in and enter your delivery address. Once we know your delivery address, the estimated cost will change to a final delivery cost in the order summary.
How long will my delivery take?
We encourage marketplace stores to process orders promptly in order to meet the delivery time they have provided.
Delivery timeframes vary depending on the item and which marketplace store it is being sold & shipped by. Please review the timeframe on the product page to check an estimated timeframe for delivery.
The estimated delivery timeframe will also be communicated through checkout and in your order confirmation email after placing an order.
Who do I contact if there is a problem with my order?
All marketplace stores are required to comply with the Consumer Guarantees Act (CGA) and provide a remedy in line with CGA obligations. Please contact our Customer Care team who will work with the marketplace store to address your concerns. See here for details.
What is your intellectual property rights policy for marketplace products?
The sale of goods, and/or content that infringe the intellectual property rights (IPR) of others is prohibited per our Merchant Services Agreement, and illegal in New Zealand under the Fair Trading, Copyright and Trade Mark Acts.
If you are a rights holder, we encourage you to contact us to report content or products that you believe infringe your IPR. On receipt we will typically ask for supporting information relating to your claim to ensure we are acting appropriately. Information that you believe is relevant or wish to rely on to support your claim should be provided when contacting us. Details such as your trademark registrations, location of original content (copyright claims) or patent registrations will generally be needed. Please note, in most instances we can only act on complaints from the registered rights holder directly. If you are contacting us on behalf of a rights holder (you may be a distributor or local legal representative) we may also ask for a letter of authority or similar before proceedings with your enquiry.
Please note that we cannot enforce distribution agreements, these will need to be addressed directly with the relevant parties.

Can I provide specific delivery instructions for my order?
Currently the delivery signature and delivery instructions option in checkout only applies to items sold & shipped by The Warehouse. We are working on making delivery instructions available for marketplace items in the future.
How can I track my order?
When a marketplace store has shipped your items, you will receive an email from The Warehouse with a link to track your items. This link will take you to the courier’s website where you will be able to see the most up-to-date status.
If you have a The Warehouse account, you will also be able to track your order from your order history.
Can I Click & Collect?
As marketplace items are sent directly from the seller, and are not available in The Warehouse stores, you cannot Click & Collect these items.
If you have items from a marketplace store in your cart, delivery will be the only option available for your whole order.
If you want to place a Click & Collect order for items sold & shipped by The Warehouse, please create a separate order so you can choose Click & Collect as your delivery method.
How can I return my items?
What is the returns policy?
The Warehouse has a 60-day change of mind Money Back Guarantee with proof of purchase. Eligible marketplace items are covered under this policy.
For a product to be returned under our Money Back Guarantee Policy, the product must be in a re-saleable condition. For example, the item must be unused and in its original packaging (if packaged) and not one of the guarantee exceptions.
