Good set - Good Value
Pretty straight forward build with terrific instructions. It however does not meet my expectations, and truly is a bit of a letdown as far as the structural integrity of the build. I am let down by the fact that when one lifts the rocket off the pad, the arms that fall to the side tend to fall off completely.

Perhaps the holding power of the bricks is too small for the length of the arm. Levers, it's a heck of a moment being generated at the bottom of those arms.

Anyway, lots of enjoyment, just not to the level I've come to expect from Lego.

Ready to Launch
I really liked this set. I have been a LEGO and NASA fan all my life I thought this set brought so much to the table. I love the launch control center play features. My five year old and I counted down the launch over and over again. The only complaint I had was that the rocket is hard to separate apart, but I understand that with the pieces that make it hard to come apart the rocket would be too flimsy. The track to the launch pad is awesome, and I can't get enough of the arms retracting automatically off the rocket during lift off. So Cool. Awesome set.

Fun build...even for an adult!
As someone who recently returned to LEGO (quarantining gets boring), I started by purchasing the larger, more advanced modular sets. After exhausting those sets, I looked for other ways to expand my new city. I found the LEGO City Space line of products and started with this set. It did not disappoint. Although the build is relatively easy, it is fun and rewarding. The designers of this set did an outstanding job thinking through the details that LEGO fans appreciate. The launch control center in particular, made me smile when I saw the clever use of transparent stickers. I usually loathe stickers in LEGO sets, but their unique use here was clever and functional. Highly recommended!!

Great for 6 y.o.
Great set and excellent value. Purchased for son for 6th Birthday. He was able to build most of it himself, but needed some help on a few items. Lots of cool features and a durable build when younger siblings (3 y.o. twins) get their turn. Highly recommend!

Could be more realistic
I overall like this set but still it feels like a missed opportunity. A lot of the aspects could have been handled better.

1) There is a monorail to get the astronauts next to the rocket, but I don't know how they're supposed to get to the top. Fly maybe? An elevator would make more sense than the monorail, as NASA would probably use a vehicle to get them to the rocket.
2) I have no idea how is this rocket supposed to land. Is it just the capsule that should return to the atmosphere? There are no boosters on the capsule, maybe some parachute? Or the whole rocket without the booster? I hope this is not one of those one way missions...
3) it would be nice if the cockpit would open and close without having to basically took it apart.
4) Booster rocket tops come off all the time as another reviewer already mentioned. Shame because the designer went to some pains to reinforce the bricks with various technic pieces in other places

Great set - just a question
Got this at Costco yesterday and my son had a fun time putting this together and playing with it. There are a lot of very clever design elements in this set. The "interactive display" using blocks moving behind stickers was one of them, and a rocket gantry that "falls away" was another. The smart phone app makes everything come to life and uses some real sounds from space missions. As a parent I had just one question- What is the little white rubber band for? It is in a separate cardboard box and listed on the inventory, but we must have missed where to put it.

Fantastic Space set
This rocket space set is amazing. Very enjoyable to build with many very clever touches of how parts move and work - I don't want to give the game away. My small boys (and husband!) all love the set and there is so much playability in it. Really worth the money and although it it biggish, 40cm tall or so, it is compact enough to easily display as pieces can be moved around easily. The rocket itself is incredible and comes easily apart, as do the boosters. I would highly recommend this set for £89.99. We have tons of Lego sets here and this one is really worth the money and is a lot of fun.
