Good vehicle But?
I like the Forest Tractor but would like to see a revised Farm series instead of constant new police sets the last Farm sets were in 2010

Timber!!!
My 5yr old son picked up this set as a trade for his Halloween candy. The instruction is so easy for him to follow that he built this in less than 45 min. He loves the moving parts of the crane. He got confused how to saw the tree trunk with the chainsaw, but he got over it quickly by unsnapping the pieces with his hands. He had to reattach the claw pieces repeatedly so I wish those pieces were attached more snuggly.

Another wish is for the Forest Machine to be released in a simplified version like this one (and more affordable) because he wants that as his next set to build for his collection, inspired by the Little Hard Hats' Road Construction movie.

Very nice product
My son wanted this after seeing it so we went to the shop and got it for £14 which is quite reasonable for the size and pieces. It was very quick to build for him as he is too young to build himself though he did help do a few pieces such as the tyres and log. He really likes it so that is what matters. Only downsides for me are the crane needs to another piece to make it longer as it is too short and I have never been a fan of Lego stickers, wish they was just printed on the bricks, would look much nicer. Would be good if Lego did some sort of log loader truck or something to go with this tractor or even a trailer just to load the logs onto. Nice product overall.

Really easy build. Turned out great! The colors really stand out when compared to some of the other City sets.

Easy and fun to assemble!
While this model is easy and fun to assemble, it has some very interesting building techniques. If you like to create new builds on your own, the balloon tires will look great on any model. I am so glad I added this set to my collection!

Cool tractor
This is a really cool tractor, out little boy loves playing with it. Nice to have the logs and it is cute that the little guy has headphones (ear protectors) on him.

Logging!
Anyone who is a LEGO CITY collector knows that many of the vehicles/themes can become repetitive; POLICE anyone? Despite this I tend to buy about 80% of CITY sets.

What is great about this set is the how it differentiates itself from so many other vehicles that are available. The claw feature for grabbing logs is great along with the over sized tires that are indicative of a construction type vehicle. The build is very straight forward and can be completed fairly quickly. I also really love the color scheme as it is fairly unique. As far as the price goes, in typical CITY fashion is you are willing to wait a few weeks/months you will find sets at least 20% off from online retailers. In other words $16 is a very good price for this model.

Great job LEGO! Make more sets like this!!!

Let’s go logging!
This set is absolutely amazing. This is actually better than what I expected. (I knew it was great, but didn’t know it was this good.) The building process was so fun, and easy like most City sets, but was a bit different than normal. The Technic wheels was an interesting change from the normal smaller ones. There was quite a bit of studs on the side construction used, which was enjoyable. You get lots of pieces in lime green (I believe that’s the color), which is very useful, as well as the new bumper bar piece for 2018. There are also a number of interesting pieces, such as the sloped windshield. Once it’s completed, it’s simply a joy to look at and drive around. It’s a little confusing to tell which end is the front, but you can tell how the front is nicely smoothed and streamlined with tiles and slopes. The crane arm is amazing with so many posable joints - the ways in which you can move it around is almost endless! At first I was wondering if there was anything like this in real life, so I did some research and there’s totally is. It looks just like a Claas Xerion 5000 (see LEGO’s Technic Claas Xerion 5000 Trac VC). You also get a minifigure to operate the tractor, two logs, a log stand, some accessories, and a small green tree. This is absolutely amazing. An amazing set to build and play with, a great display piece, and a great parts pack. I highly recommend it!

Arm with an opening claw is very weak
Over 40 years of Lego experience. I would say that arm with the opening claw is very weak in comparison to the tractor itself. Arm pops out as it's not held properly. Claw is even worse, very frustrating for a child. As they try to grab something, claws just detach themselves. Needs better design.
