At 217cm long when folded out, it's noticeably longer than a standard 2-seater sofa bed, with enough room for a taller guest to actually stretch out, and the added spring support underneath the sinuous base gives it a firmer, more supportive sit than the average fold-out.

The fabric is a polyester-and-acrylic blend rather than plain polyester, which means it resists everyday wear and pilling better and has a bit more texture and depth, so it doesn't look or feel like the fabric on a budget flat-pack sofa bed. Paired with the taller 82cm arm height, Juniper reads more like a proper sofa that happens to fold into a bed, rather than a bed that's been disguised as a sofa.

It's still a genuine 2-seater sofa bed, not a bulky 3-seater, so it works in a normal-sized living room, home office or granny flat. But if you regularly host guests, or you just want a sofa bed that doesn't feel like a compromise, Juniper is the step up from Walter.

At 133cm wide, the opened bed is closest to a standard double bed width, so a double flat sheet fits well. It's worth noting the bed is 217cm long, longer than a standard double (190cm), so a fitted double sheet may not reach the full length. A flat sheet or a doona is the easier option here.
