The the ending of this story took my 3 year old and me by surprise. The biscuit is abruptly eaten and killed, despite us feeling like he was the protagonist. I realise this may be true to the original story (I can't remember), but my daughter looked at me with huge, upset eyes and was visibly shaken by how it ended.
