Coming together for communities
With stores and worksites dotted up and down the map, The Warehouse is part of a nationwide community that loves the same things as our customers: Great bargains, fun shopping, healthy and happy communities, and making sure every Kiwi has a chance to thrive.
Reusable bag
Every $1 red bag you buy makes good things happen. Each year, more than $1 million from sales of these recycled, reusable, red beauties supports Kiwi communities through our national partners and store donations.
The next time you visit us, grab a red bag. It can be used for loads of things, but with all the good it can do, it says just one thing about you: legend.
Be the Joy
Our annual Christmas fundraiser
Every Kiwi whānau deserves joy at Christmas, so each year we team up with some of our awesome national partners and all of our customers to raise funds and donate new gifts to tamariki who need help to have a merry Christmas.
Be the Joy is supported by The Warehouse, Warehouse Stationery, and Noel Leeming with all funds raised going to national community partners.
In 2024, Be the Joy raised a record $320,000 to support whānau in the care of Variety – The Children’s Charity, the Kindness Collective, Women’s Refuge, and the Salvation Army!
Warm Fuzzies
Our annual winter fundraiser
One of the best ways to stay healthy through winter is to keep warm and dry. Each year, the Kindness Collective’s PJ Project donates thousands of brand new pajama sets to kids in need around Aotearoa. This is supported by our major winter fundraiser, Warm Fuzzies, which raises funds and gathers donations of new warm winter items to help keep kids warm and healthy.
The Warmhouse for New Zealand families
The Warehouse and EECA (The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority) have partnered to develop The Warmhouse, a place to share simple ways you can make your home more energy efficient, healthier, more comfortable, and easier to heat. Find out more here
Good One Gives Back
With your help, we can supply Good One products to over 2000 families seeking assistance from Women's Refuge every year. Women and children often arrive at a refuge with very little and are in need of essential items like shampoo, body wash and other personal care – these products make a stressful time a little easier for them. Good One, you.
Good One is also approved under the Cruelty Free International Leaping Bunny Programme brand – the globally recognised gold standard for cruelty-free products
Stores community support
Helping our local communities thrive
Our $1 red bags also help support charitable projects and causes that matter to our store teams and communities. If you’ve got a local project that could benefit from The Warehouse’s support, reach out to your local store for a kōrero.
