Plastic bottle caps

Fine sandpaper

Acrylic Paint in yellow and black

Small paintbrush

Permanent marker for bug spots and stripes (optional, we used paint)

White card

Googly eyes

How to make your bee bottle tops

1. Using your sandpaper, lightly sand off the logo on the bottle cap if there is one.

2. Paint the bottle cap yellow. This might take several coats, let dry in between coats.

3. When paint has dried, draw with your marker or use black paint to create your bee’s stripes.

4. Draw two sets of wings on the card and cut out.

5. Select a magnet that fits nicely inside the bottle cap and hot glue it on.

6. Hot glue your wings onto the bee.

7. Hot glue the googly eyes on.

Use your new buzzy bee magnet to put your favourite piece of artwork on the fridge!
