3. Glue the pieces together to create the alien, the sun, and Saturn.

4. To make your pipe cleaners curly, wrap them tightly around a pencil, and then carefully slide off.

5. Once you have all your decorations ready, it’s time to put them on your spokes!

6. Wrap the pipe cleaners around the spokes and wedge your cosmic shapes in between.

7. Ride safe!

Your favourite pair of shoes with laces. These sneakers are a good choice.

Red, orange and yellow Kookie felt

Wing template

Pencil

Hole punch

Glue gun

Instructions:

1. Print your template of shapes and trace your large wing template onto the red felt twice. You might need to adjust the hole spacing to suit your shoe’s laces.

2. Trace your medium wing template onto the orange felt twice.

3. Trace your smallest wing template onto the yellow felt twice.

4. Cut out all pieces.

5. Unlace the top 3 holes of your shoes and line up the red piece with the holes.

6. Stick your pencil through the shoelace hole from the inside, and make 3 marks on the red felt so it lines up with the holes.

7. Using your hole punch, create 3 holes in the red felt where you will loop the shoelaces through to attach the wings to the shoe at the end.

8. Evenly line up the orange piece on top of the red and make your markings through the holes, then use your hole punch.

9. Repeat this process until both wings have holes all the way through that line up.

10. Once you are happy with your wing shapes and holes, hot glue the sections to each other to create your wings.

11. If you’re feeling extra crafty, cut out small yellow strips to go on the red section which adds detail and dimension to your wings.

12. Lay the wings over the holes and lace back up through the holes to secure the wings to your shoes. Now put them on for some magical steps on your next walk. Oh, and these wings might help you run faster, but they won’t actually make you fly.

Materials:

Big and small hole punch (we used a heart and star shape)

Ribbon

Three colours of card (whatever your theme colours are)

One colour of Kookie felt

Scissors

Uniti Bling Stickers

Gluestick and glue gun

Ruler

Pen

Instructions:

1. Draw a large cloud shape on one card colour that will fit nicely where you want to hang the nameplate on your wheelchair.

2. Measure across the cloud and draw a rectangle on another colour of card that will fit inside the cloud. Cut out your cloud and rectangle.

3. Write your name in bubble-shaped letters on a piece of felt and carefully cut them out – ad adult can help you cut safely. When drawing the letters of your name, lay the rectangle shape above the felt so you can see how big your letters need to be.

4. Glue the rectangle onto the cloud.

5. Hot glue the letters on to the rectangle – make sure you have an adult to help you.

6. Get your big hole punch and punch out the top left and right corners of the cloud. This is where you’ll attach the ribbon to hang your nameplate. Save the shapes that come out of the punch for decoration!

7. Get your small holepunch and make 4 holes across the bottom of the cloud. This is where you’ll hang your dangling decorations.

8. Punch out several more shapes and set them aside.

9. Using your third colour of cardstock, draw some flower designs (or let your creativity run wild!) in different sizes and cut them out.

10. Get your ribbon and cut 2 big pieces to attach the top of the nameplate, and 4 small pieces to attach your dangling heart and star cutouts on the bottom.

11. Now it’s time to decorate! Glue the flower shapes down around your name, and any hearts or stars.

12. Thread the ribbons through the holes on the bottom and glue the hole punch pieces onto the ribbon. They will add some fun movement to your nameplate.

13. Using your stickers, make a border around the rectangle shape to frame your name. Or, bedazzle to your hearts content and put bling stickers anywhere you like!

14. Thread your 2 big pieces of ribbon through the top holes and tie a bow to securely attach it to your wheelchair!
