Trace around the paper towel tube on plastic packaging and cut out the circles. Make sure they will fit snugly inside your kaleidoscope.
Push the first circle down into tube using a ruler. Have an adult hot glue in place to secure and let it dry.
Drop beads and filling down into the tube.
Push in the second plastic circle to cover the beads.
Using your ruler, measure the length inside the tube.
Measure and cut 3 strips of mirrored silver card, the same length as the inside of the tube.
Measure and cut 3 strips of card. Glue the mirrored silver card onto them.
Tape the strips together to make a triangular prism that fits inside the tube. Slide the prism into the tube so it fits snugly.
Get decorating! Cut wrapping paper to size and glue around the kaleidoscope for a colourful look!
Now your kaleidoscope is now ready to use - it’s a whole new view!
