The Good Drop recycling programme gives your pre-loved clothing a new life, reducing landfill waste and helping communities.
Why we’re doing it
We know that as a big clothing retailer, we’ve played our part when it comes to textile waste. So, we’re doing something about it – and with your help, we can make a real difference.
We’re working hard to make our products more sustainable and affordable for every Kiwi (here's how), and we also want to make it easier for you to keep clothes out of landfill (or in your wardrobe gathering dust).
Plus, you’ll get a reward – more on that below.
How The Good Drop works
When you donate clothing with The Good Drop, you’ll get a Warehouse Club coupon for 10% off apparel when you shop in store at The Warehouse (Terms and Conditions apply).

Here’s what to do:

Bring a bag
Bring your clean, pre-loved clothing to the Customer Service desk. -
Get your reward
Our team member will scan your Warehouse Club QR code and give you your coupon. -
Make the drop
Drop your donation in the clothing bin in store. -

Where your clothes end up
When you drop your clothing off, we send it off on a pretty cool adventure.
That’s The Good Drop difference: almost everything finds a home. Wearable and desirable? It gets passed on to the local Salvation Army Family Store.
Not in great shape? No worries – these get recycled too. The reusable bits like zips and buttons are separated out, and the rest gets processed into new materials by our approved recycling partners, for lots of useful applications like signage and retail displays, packaging, protection mats, and even acoustic panels which can all be recycled again, helping to close the loop.
Hardly anything goes to waste, and we track every kilo, so we can keep improving.
What you can donate
We’re after your clean pre-loved clothing, from t-shirts to trackies, jumpers to jeans. They can be any brand (but no soiled items please).
We can take:
Clean, used adults’ and kids’ clothing, of any brand.
We can't take:
- Wet, mouldy, or dirty clothing
- Shoes and bags
- Pillows, blankets, and duvets
- Socks and underwear
- Towels, sheets, and other linen
- Curtains
- Uniforms or workwear with branding/logos
- Anything that’s hazardous or contaminated
Partnering with The Salvation Army
We've teamed up with The Salvation Army to make this happen.
They ensure the wearable clothes you donate get to people who need them most, through their family stores and social support services.
Where can I find The Good Drop?
We're starting small, with a trial in five stores, but with your help, we hope to grow. The Good Drop is currently available in these stores:

How to receive and redeem your reward
The reward is: receive 10% off apparel* when you donate a bag of clean pre-loved clothing through The Good Drop.
- To qualify for this offer, you must donate a bag of pre-loved clothing, in good condition, to a participating The Warehouse store and be a Warehouse Club member.
- Bring your clothes to the Customer Service desk, where a team member will scan your Warehouse Club QR code, in The Warehouse app, and give you a coupon.
- *Excludes Bags, Schooltex and Marketplace products.
- The reward can be used in-store only.
- Offer is valid for single use only and can be redeemed in-store until 31 December 2026. To use your reward, scan your coupon and your Warehouse Club QR code at checkout.
